Homework
Every night students will bring home a book bag of their just right reading level and a reading log. In 3rd grade we ask students to read at least 30 minutes a night and spend 10 minutes on the Everyday Math worksheet. Books and reading logs should come back to school every morning. The math worksheet is meant to be a quick 10 minute practice of skills we've worked on in class. If the work is difficult for your child please write a note to me on the homework page and I will work on it with your child. A Family Letter goes home at the start of every math unit which provides an explanation of what we are learning, strategies we use to solve problems and answers to the homework so families can quickly look over student work to see that they are getting the correct answers. I appreciate your support with homework!
